The Montevallo Legacy Project is proud to announce its second annual Black History Month launch, Sunday February 2, 2-4pm, in Rebecca J. Luker Stage in the Song Center for the Arts at the University of Montevallo. The event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 1:30.

Creativity Our Own Way: Black Creativity Now, Then & Beyond will feature performances and remarks by Salaam Green, poet and performance artist; Zachary Banks, choir director and vocal performer; and Elvie Schooley, drummers, and students from DRUM the Program, with Joyce Jones, UM Director of Engaged Education and Public Service moderating. A meet and greet with refreshments to follow.
