Join Us This Weekend: Slave Dwelling Project

On May 4-5, 2024, Joe McGill will give a dynamic presentation at the Wallace Center for Arts and Reconciliation focused on the legacy of enslavement in the US and the mission of the Slave Dwelling Project.

McGill will also engage and respond to a panel discussion entitled “The Power of Truthful Narratives” featuring Elijah Gaddis, Hollifield Associate Professor of Southern History at Auburn University, Albert “Peter” Datcher, local genealogist and history researcher and Kathy King, Co-Founder of The Montevallo Legacy Project.
